POLICIES FOR CHILD CARE PROGRAMS

Being listed with CCRC's Resource and Referral Service does not guarantee referrals and is not an endorsement of the caregiver or the program.

Parents are offered referrals to a variety of child care options (click here for options).

Parents are referred to caregivers on the basis of criteria selected by parents (i.e., location, type of program, hours, transportation, ages of children, need for financial assistance for child care, etc.)

Arrangements about fees are between the caregiver and the parents.

Parents are told that we do not evaluate caregivers or recommend one program above another, but we do believe that each parent can and should select the child care plan that best meets their needs and the needs of their children. We encourage them to be good consumers of child care. This means that we encourage them to read carefully the educational material provided by CCRC, to visit several programs, to ask lots of questions, to share information about their child, and to discuss with the caregiver what they want for their children.

CCRC's Resource and Referral Service reserves the right to remove a caregiver's name from the referral list in accordance with established policies. These policies are available upon request.

At this time, there is no charge to parents or caregivers for the Resource and Referral Service.
