Dr. Barbara Sorrels will be a featured session presenter at the 2017 International Infant and Toddler Conference!
Dr. Barbara Sorrels is Executive Director of The Institute for Childhood Education and the author of the award winning book, “Reaching and Teaching Children Exposed to Trauma.” She holds a B.A. in early childhood education from the University of Maryland; a master’s degree in education from Southwestern Seminary; and a doctorate in early childhood from Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Sorrels has worked in the field of early education for over 40 years. She has been a classroom teacher, early childhood program director and university professor. She started and directed two early childhood centers in Washington D.C. and Ft. Worth, Texas. She travels extensively training teachers, child-care providers, administrators, parents and agency personnel in early education, child development and trauma.
