CLAIMING AN INFANT

AGE BIRTH TO THREE MONTHS

Step 1:  Know what foods to serve:

Note these are the ONLY creditable foods at this age.

Step 2:  Do you provide the FORMULA or does the parent?  (remember, if the parent supplies the breast milk, you CAN claim that child).

You can claim the infant for up to three meals per day (two meals and a snack, or two snacks and a meal).  Formula or breast milk is the only food needed for an infant in this age group.
