About Us
Child Care Resource Center celebrates 25 years of service to the community this year in 2012! You can check out the 25 year history of CCRC by following our timeline.
The Child Care Resource Center is a program of the Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa, a 501-c(3) organization. CCRC was formed in 1987 in response to a citizen-led task force examining the needs of Tulsa’s children.
Our mission: Quality Care for Every Child
CCRC currently employs a staff of child care professionals to support parents, child care providers and the community. Our expertise includes child development, early childhood, nutrition, nursing, social work, speech and occupational therapy, and more. Several staff members hold advanced degrees in child development and related fields.
CCRC is a member of the Oklahoma Child Care Resource & Referral Association, a statewide network of eight regional Child Care Resource and Referral agencies. The Association provides funding and support to help Child Care Resource Center offer quality child care resource and referral services to families, providers, businesses, and the community. Funding is provided by the Oklahoma Child Care Services through the Child Care Development Fund.
CCRC is also funded by the Oklahoma Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs, Tulsa Area United Way, the George Kaiser Family Foundation, SmartStart Oklahoma, other private grants, contracts and donations.
CCRC hosts an annual fund raiser in June, Top of the Town to support all our programs.
