Have you ever thought about being your own Advocate?  WE NEED YOU!

On April 19th, 2011 at 7:30am, a bus will be leaving the Child Care Resource Center to go to the State Capitol.

On the bus ride down to OKC, we will learn what we can do to be our own advocates and how we will be reaching our representatives for that day.

There will be free lunch and we hope to have you back at the Child Care Resource Center by 4:00pm.

April 19th Bus Tour Information

Where do I meet the bus?  The Child Care Resource Center is located at 16 East 16th Street Tulsa Ok 74119.  834-2273 dial “0” for the operator if you need directions.

 

What time should I get be there?  You should be at CCRC no later than 7:30.  We will have a short meeting so that you can meet with people in your group.

 

What should I wear?  A pair of comfortable shoes that you can walk in.  Sometimes it is faster to take the stairs at the capitol.  Please do not feel that you have to dress up, jeans or slacks are fine.

 

What time will we get back?  We should get back by 4:00 p.m. the latest. 

 

What is for lunch?  Lunch will be provided

 

Will I have to go talk to people by myself?  No, you will be in groups visiting each others representatives a leader from CCRC will be with you at all times.

 

Can I talk about other issues important to me?  Absolutely!

 

What if I have to cancel?  Just send me an email, mbelcher@ccrctulsa.org

 

Will there be a tour of the Capitol?  We will have a quick tour of the Capitol.  Groups are free to roam after meeting their representatives.  All passengers will have to be back on the bus by a certain time.
