The Child Care Resource Center is a program of the Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa, a 501-c(3) organization. CCRC was formed in 1987 in response to a citizen-led task force examining the needs of Tulsa’s children.
Our mission:
To promote quality, affordable child care in the Tulsa Metropolitan Area through information sharing, advocacy, training, service development and education. CCRC seeks to do this by increasing public awareness, supporting consumers and providers of child care services, and improving policies and funding affecting them.
CCRC currently employs a staff of over 35 child care professionals to support parents, child care providers and the community. Our expertise includes early childhood, nutrition, nursing, social work, speech and occupational therapy, and more. Several staff members hold advanced degrees in adult education and child development.
CCRC is a member of the Oklahoma Child Care Resource & Referral Association, a statewide network of eight regional Child Care Resource and Referral agencies. The Association provides funding and support to help Child Care Resource Center offer quality child care resource and referral services to families, providers, businesses, and the community. OCCRRA also provides funding for the Child Care Health Consultant Project and the Infant/Toddler Enhancement Project. Funding is provided by the Oklahoma Child Care Services through the Child Care Development Fund.
CCRC is also funded by the Oklahoma Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs, Tulsa Area United Way, the George Kaiser Family Foundation, SmartStart Oklahoma, other private grants, contracts and donations.
